Soy abogada y no imaginé que podría dedicarme a escribir poesía y narrativa; inclusive empecé a pintar. Todas las actividades que he desarrollado en The Cove/Rincón me han encantado. Me siento feliz. Para mí, The Cove/Rincón International, con más de un cuarto de siglo de servicio a la comunidad, significa la unión de distintas nacionalidades por medio de la cultura, compartiendo pensamientos inspiradores, ideas útiles e impresiones positivas con fines amistosos.

Nuestra creatividad se siente estimulada en poesía, narrativa, pintura, fotografía, teatro, música y otras artes, a través de reuniones mensuales; también, visitas a centros juveniles, casas de retirados, escuelas, talleres, publicaciones e intercambios internacionales, por medio de sus Delegados, siempre en búsqueda de la máxima expresión del arte y la literatura.

For me, The Cove/Rincón International, with more than a quarter of a century of service to the community, means the union of different nationalities through culture, sharing inspiring thoughts, useful ideas and positive impressions for friendly purposes.

Our creativity is stimulated in poetry, narrative, painting, photography, theater, music and other arts, through monthly meetings; also, visits to youth centers, retirement homes, schools, workshops, publications and international exchanges, through its Delegates, always in search of the maximum expression of art and literature.

The Cove/Rincón significa el mundo que me pertenece. Es el espacio infinito de encuentro conmigo misma y con el resto de los artistas, trabajadores de la cultura con quienes dialogando en distintas sinfonías, en distintos matices, y por esta diversidad es la riqueza del capital que logramos vivir en este “rincón”, a través de la amistad la y cordialidad. Esta organización me conecta con el mundo sin barreras; es el lugar que generosamente y con aprecio escucha mi palabra hecha poesía; me permite compartir mis obras visuales, también como jurado en artes visuales. The Cove/Rincón me permite crecer y estar siempre actualizada, es decir, me regala día a día festejar el valor de la vida traducida en arte.

The Cove/Rincón means the world that belongs to me, it is the infinite space of encounter with myself and with the rest of the artists, culture workers with whom dialoguing in different symphonies, in different shades, and due to this diversity we have such a wealthy capital in our lives in this “corner”, through friendship and cordiality. This organization connects me with the world without any barriers; it is the place that generously and with appreciation listens to my word made poetry; it allows me to share my visual works, also as a juror in visual arts. The Cove/Rincón allows me to grow and to be always updated, that is to say, it gives me the gift of celebrating day by day the value of life translated into art.

The Cove/Rincón es ese rincón que trasciende del alma de quienes amamos el arte en todas sus expresiones y desde donde contribuimos a hacer del mundo un lugar de paz, belleza y armonía.

The Cove/Rincón is that corner that transcends the soul of those of us who love art in all its expressions and from where we contribute to make the world a place of peace, beauty and harmony.

Al mudarme a la Florida fui invitado a participar en una reunión de The Cove/Rincón International, organización de la cual ya había recibido comentarios por su dedicación a la promoción del arte y la cultura. Interesado siempre en el arte y muy dedicado a la fotografía, asistí, y quedé impresionado con el grupo tan familiar que allí se reunía. Ya había perdido a mis padres, me quedaba muy poca familia, principalmente primos, y me encantó el ambiente que allí se respiraba. Me dieron la bienvenida aquella noche, y decidí regresar a la reunión siguiente. Comencé a presentar mis trabajos como fotógrafo, y como me gustaba pintar decidí comenzar a presentar mis pinturas, que en aquel momento no eran muy buenas que digamos. Una noche la Presidente del grupo me animó a escribir, pues en este grupo, existe un gran apoyo a sus miembros. Lo hice con mucho recelo, y ¡sorpresa!, comencé a ganar premios en concursos en los que participaba.

Me enfoqué más en la pintura y continué tomando clases, ya que este ambiente artístico me motivaba a hacerlo. Los concursos que esta organización realiza a nivel internacional son increíbles, los eventos a los que asistimos en diferentes partes del mundo se hacen inolvidables. Hoy tengo amigos donde quiera que esta organización tiene delegados y miembros, somos una gran familia artístico-cultural. Durante un proceso de elecciones que realizamos anualmente me propusieron para ser 2do Vicepresidente, y continuó mi trabajo más dedicado a nuestra organización. Actualmente soy el Primer Vicepresidente, y me siento comprometido, halagado, y feliz de haber encontrado un día el camino dentro de personas que aman el arte, que se apoyan y que son la gran familia que hoy somos. Gracias The Cove/Rincón por contarme entre sus miembros.

Upon moving to Florida, I was invited to attend a meeting of The Cove/Rincón International, an organization I had already heard about for its dedication to promoting art and culture. Always interested in art and very dedicated to photography, I attended, and was impressed with the family-like group that gathered there. I had already lost my parents, I had very little family left, mainly cousins, and I loved the atmosphere. I was welcomed back that night, and decided to return for the next meeting. I began to present my work as a photographer, and since I liked to paint I decided to start presenting my paintings, which at that time were not very good. One night the President of the group encouraged me to write, because in this group, there is a great support for its members. I did it with a lot of misgivings, and surprise, I started to win prizes in contests in which I participated.

I focused more on painting and continued taking classes, since this artistic environment motivated me to do so. The contests that this organization holds internationally are incredible, the events that we attend in different parts of the world are unforgettable. Today I have friends wherever this organization has delegates and members, we are a great artistic-cultural family. During the election process that we conduct annually I was nominated to be 2nd Vice President, and continued my work more dedicated to our organization. I am currently the First Vice President, and I feel committed, flattered, and happy to have found the way among people who love art, who support each other and who are the great family that we are today.
